after 50 moves if you click draw it should do auto-draw. You may not have reached 50 moves yet.

The rule states that you must go 50 moves without a piece being captured, AND without a pawn having been advanced. If either of those things happen, it restarts.

When the 50-move situation is reached (or 3-fold repetition), the OFFER DRAW button changes to a CLAIM DRAW button. You have to explicitly claim a draw - it is not automatic.

Ya know I was looking at those precise laws here at Chess.com and they don't differ from most other sites that I checked. However, what I did learn, and for what its worth...its not just 50 moves --done.

As I understand it the criteria to get to the 50 moves is different than just each player moving 50 times. Have you checked it out? Cheers!

If it were simply 50 moves, every game would be drawn on the 51st move.

    As Nytik wrote:

Pawn moves reset the timer, as do captures. The rule is:

"A game is declared drawn if 50 moves (100 plies) occur with neither pawn move nor capture."
