I feel ambivalent about it because I was being wiped out and not far from losing a stack of points. Instead I won on time and am now rated higher than I think I should be. This kind of makes me feel a bit uncomfortable, because had he played me and lost at his starting rating, (less than mine) I would have only gained a few points.

He was probably only beating you because he was cheating. I'm sure you're very good at chess ;)

Yeah, he didn't outplay you, you were outplayed by a computer. Hardly something to be uncomfortable about, given that the world's top players would have found themselves also being outplayed! Anyway your rating will return to its true level soon enough, so if you're overated at the moment, it won't last.

Yes my rating is higher than it has ever been and I don't expect it will last long or ever go higher. I think I have peaked and have to confine my games to just a few because I spend time on each move in game analyses mode. I have had a few similar games with guys that had dozens of games in progress and this seems to be a clue because they move very quickly and never make a mistake or even a inaccurate move. I always make some inaccurate moves and rarely fail to make a mistake in a game.
