Hi all,

I keep getting this pop up message whenever I am navigating around chess.com:

'You have chose to open afr.php, which is a php file from: http://dsp/chess.co,

Open or save?'

Erm, what is this file exactly? Thanks!

php files are like html files and are used to show information in your browser, but they do a lot more than meets the eye. When you are asked to save/open a .php file, usually means the server operator has messed up a configuration on the server or didn't install the php engine at all...

Just 'X' it.

Yes Erik, I am still getting this. I'll make a note of what pages it comes up on, to see if there is a pattern.

Cody, you seem to know a lot about it, I x it every time but it keeps coming up - is there a way to fix it, or do you need more info?

PhP files execute server side, which means they are able to communicate with a database to output/input information from/to it. What you are experiencing is very strange and should not be happening.

A Undecided

Use IE or Mozilla and this would never happen. It is a Google Chrome problem .

I get this too.  Using firefox.  It seems to occur at random, when clicking on various links within chess.com.
