Hi all,
I keep getting this pop up message whenever I am navigating around chess.com:
'You have chose to open afr.php, which is a php file from: http://dsp/chess.co,
Open or save?'
Erm, what is this file exactly? Thanks!
are you still getting this? that is really weird...
php files are like html files and are used to show information in your browser, but they do a lot more than meets the eye. When you are asked to save/open a .php file, usually means the server operator has messed up a configuration on the server or didn't install the php engine at all...
Just 'X' it.
Yes Erik, I am still getting this. I'll make a note of what pages it comes up on, to see if there is a pattern.
Cody, you seem to know a lot about it, I x it every time but it keeps coming up - is there a way to fix it, or do you need more info?
PhP files execute server side, which means they are able to communicate with a database to output/input information from/to it. What you are experiencing is very strange and should not be happening.
A
I am getting it as well. I use Firefox.
I use firefox, and it seems to come up randomly, ie, not on any specific page.
Use IE or Mozilla and this would never happen. It is a Google Chrome problem .
Oh dear.
i've tried to reproduce this and i can't :( i know it is related to ads, but i can't tell what it is. can someone save that file and email it to me at chessdev{@]gmail.com ?
Erik, stll getting the message! Any luck?
I get this too. Using firefox. It seems to occur at random, when clicking on various links within chess.com.
Use IE then?
It's STOPPED :O

It might well be malware, i'd just keep 'x' ing it!!

any ideas how i can stop this?
Kind of late to the party, but I'm getting this as well.
I'm under the impression has something to do with the noscript add-on on firefox.
