Automatic Renewal???

I am sorry for making 2 topics about this but I have not gotten a helpful response about this! 1 month ago I asked a staff member to cancel my automatic renewal / subscription for my diamond membership. I received a message back that it was done, meaning I would not receive any messages from chess.com or paypal anymore about my diamond membership. After that I had to wait for email responses from a staff member because I lost the ability to do anything @ chess.com (I was unable to post topics, reply to posts, join live chess etc).

With that fixed, my diamond membership icon was returned to me, I have unlimited access to the game explorer, 100 game analysis' a week, but only 3 times of tactics trainer a day and no chess mentor, sorta like half a diamond membership.

But I didn't care about that, I mean, eventually the membership would run out anyway and I'd be just a basic member. But just today I received a message from paypal in my inbox that my payment to chess.com has been successful!

I could be all wrong, maybe I'm mistaken, but this means that my diamond membership has been renewed (Which I never intended to renew!). And well, since it's renewed now anyway maybe I can try to fix the membership thing now and wait for it until next month when the membership expires without renewing. Meanwhile I can just try chess mentor anyway or something, after all it's been paid for now. But I'm still stuck with half of the membership!

Can someone please fix this for me for once and for all? I want to get rid of all this and just be a basic member without any renewals or anything at all!

P.S.: I know all this is my own fault, I'm not blaming anyone but myself.

Instead of posting in a forum, why not click on the word Contact below and report your problems privately?  Then you would get the attention to our account and chess.com would correct the problem quickly.

Why not close the Help & Support forum and let everyone use the contact button?

Becuase this is an issue that is clearly specific to your particular case and your greivance doesn't need to be publicly aired.

There are other issues that are relevant for this section such as those that pertain to the functional aspects of this site.

If it's not relevant to other users, it should be handled privately using the contact link.  If it is, that's what this forum is for.

Hello Bermuda. I have now taken care of this request for you. Your account is now back to a basic membership and I have corrected your account so that you were not auto-renewed for the latest month of membership.

It appears the problem was that your Chess.com monthly Diamond membership subscription was canceled through Chess.com but not through the Paypal website.
