Board Size

I am having a similar problem, but my board only gets smaller, and once it gets small, it stays small. It might grow a little bit, but it refuses to get as big as default settings. What do I do?
The board size doesnt actually increase in size beyond the default setting. It decreases in size when I set it to tiny. However the gigantic setting only increases the white around the board not the board size.
I would like the chess board to fill out more of my screen....
