when i check out a variation in the analysis board and click "current" to see it again from the beginning its lost! this didnt happen before...its been happening since the updates a few days ago........whats the problem?
ask anyone.
I have noticed the same thing, Glaedr.
The analysis board seems to work fine for me. What exactly is happening? When you click 'Current' the board position is supposed to go back to the current game position? Is something different happening for you? If so, what browser are you using?
The problem is this: if you work out a few moves from the "current" position, and then click current, it does indeed go back to the original position. However previously, if you clicked the " > " button, it would play through the next few moves that you just entered. It no longer does this.
It works on mine, what browser are you using?
in firefox it works fine but i think yesterday in IE I experienced that bug as well
I am using firefox 3 and have now problems with the diagrams here in the post boxes. Cannot not start from a position I want as I could some days ago!
I am using Firefox and have noticed to my chagrin that I have the same issue with the analysis board. Previously, I worked through a few moves from the current position, then was able to refresh the board back to the current position and tab through the moves I had just been considering. Now, those moves are lost unless I write them down before I refresh the board. I assume the change was not intended -- it is a definite loss in desired functionality.
Happens for me in Firefox or IE - tried both just to be sure.
Ok, there does appear to be something wrong, I'll pass this on. We'll look into it.
I noticed this too. When you exlore a variation, moves are added to the move list. This didn't happen before. When you click current, you go back to game position, but moves remain in the list.
Not sure if this was intended or not. If you play through variation again and deviate, moves from then on are deleted from move list.
I've found the analysis board a little troublesome anyway, flipping from notes to move list, since the pointers keep resetting and sometimes I have to scroll through pages to get to my spot in the notes.
These things are bothersome, but I can live with them.
so is it gonna be fixed or not?
Of course it's gonna be fixed. Just give them some time :)
