It's a bit weird, but I can't seem to view the new cheating FAQ thread, apart from the initial 2 posts by Erik??!!

I can see that new posts have been added to the thread, but when I open it there is nothing new. Could someone explain this, please??

I'm in the same boat and I've submitted a bug report.  It looks like something might be malformed in Erik's second post, but perhaps it's only a problem for certain browsers as others appear to be actively posting in it.  I can see the rest of the content on the first page when I view source, but it's not immediately obvious what my browser might be tripping over....

What browser are you using?  Mine is IE7.

If you mean this thread:

http://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/chesscom-policy-on-cheating?lc=1#last_comment

Then I can view it perfectly, I am using firefox.

Hi TheGrobe'

I think it's IE6.0  (someone please tell me if this is positively stone-age-I'm a bit of a technophobe Smile)

That's exactly the thread SilverBirch -and clicking on the link still only shows me the initial 2 posts by erik!?

oh wow...when you click "view page source" does it say anything weird? I certainly hope this site sanitizes its form data properly :) a lot of websites will have what are called XSS (cross-site scripting) vulnerabilities, which could conceivably let someone execute arbitrary javascript. I'm not going to test it out :).

I too can see everything, on Google Chrome.

So unsurprisingly, Firefox and Chrome triumph over I.E. again! I think, Streetfighter, your best bet is to use a different browser for this site, as Explorer has so many issues... (Live chess, and now this...)

It is sounding like an IE problem, I strongly recommend anything but IE :)

I was recommended this over and over before I listened, now I am glad I did.

If the thread wasnt so lengthy I would copy/paste what you cant see in this thread, but unfortunately it is quite a lot

Thanks for the replies - you're probably right Nytik!

Unfortunately i'm a little bit like a character in a comedy sketch/spoof wind-up I heard a few years back. He walks into a computer shop and asks to buy "an internet".

There follows the most ridiculous exchange including the classic lines, "What kind of computer are you using?", to which he replies "A ZX Spectrum-it's brilliant! Can I buy an internet for it please?" Laughing

And no, clicking view page source just brings up the usual jargon I do not understand, nothing weird

@ the above post ... I used to have "ole rubber keys" and its 1k, it was brilliant!

Once that thread reaches the second page my guess is that the #last_comment reference will work again and the comments going forward will be visible, but the first page will remain unviewable via IE.

Which seems to be the case!

Have I missed a BIG list of cheaters on page 1 though?? If so, could somebody please copy and paste them into a new post on the 2nd page? Please!

I'm sure they'll resolve the IE rendering issue with the first page soon enough....
