Charged for 1 year of premium when I only wanted a month.

I was offered a 10 day trial that after the free period was supposed to charge me only 1 month. It charged me for 1 year. I was hoping I could get the 30 day refund because I have no desire for one whole year!

Not really sure why you want a 30 day refund, should you not ask for an eleven month refund as you wanted only a one month subscription rather than a one year?

Additionnally did you not read the terms of the offer made to you before you made the payment?  How could you miss the price difference between one year and one month does puzzles me.

One more lesson in life for you.

Now go to the help and support at the very bottom of this page and click on Help & Support and from ther you can contact chess.com and ask for a refund.

Not to be rude, but you really did not read my post, and you're being an ignorant idiot. There is a 30 day money back guarantee. I am requesting the refund. I have attempted to look for this link, but the customer service portion of the site is frustrating. When I signed up for the 10 day trial i specifically clicked to revert to the monthly platinum membership after the trial ended.

Not to be rude either but I do not have a paid subscription so i am not familiar with the 30 days refund policy which you have not clearly mentioned. You wrote: I was hoping I could get the 30 day refund.

No where do you mention that there is a 30 days refund policy on a subscription. You simply omitted the word policy.

But that is Ok with me.

What is well conceived is well expresses and clear words to say it come easily.(citation from Nicolas Boileau a French poet)

You simply have assumed or presumed that everyone knew what you where saying and not me.

Again why did you pay for one year? Surely you know the difference between $7 and $49.That is your responsibility not chess.com.

You can simply accept it and you save about 40% from a repeated monthly basis subscription. Projected to a one year subscription at a monthly  cost of $7 x 12 months is $84, a one year subscription is $49 ($84 minus $49 equals $35 divided by $84  equals exactly  41.6% savings. Just tke your pill and swallow it as you made a choice to blindly accept and pay for a one year subscription.

Now if you need more help to overturn your subscription at the bottom of this page again go to Help & Support and select under premium membership. How can I end my Premium membership subscription?

And if this does not work here is what I found for you:

How do I cancel my Premium Membership if I subscribed with Paypal?

How do I cancel a subscription? Cancelling a subscription cancels all future scheduled payments of that subscription. A subscription can be cancelled up until the day of the next scheduled payment. - Log in to your PayPal account. - Click Profile near the top of the page. - Select My money. - In the My preapproved payments section, click Update. - Select the merchant whose agreement you want to cancel and click Cancel. - Click Cancel Profile to confirm your request.

If you paid with another credit medium just contact directly chess.com
