You can adjust the height of the window:
Get into live chess. You'll see the board on the left, and two windows on the right of the screen. Move your mouse right between these two windows, and a blue line will appear. Drag that line to make your windows bigger or smaller.

The chatrooms in Live Full Board can be detached and moved around, they can be made much bigger or much smaller. You can have a chatroom window cover your entire monitor screen window if you wished.
Live Simple has static frames though so the bar between game chat and main chat can only be moved up and down a small amount.
