I was recently playing in a team match.  My opponent who won both games against me was subsequently banned for cheating.  The results of the games still stand.  I'm not worried about ratings points but I would like to see the results over-turned, otherwise the opposing team could win by one of its members cheating.

I agree.  The result does not need to bd overturned in ANY OTHER CAPACITY than the team match.  If you cheat, you must never be rewarded in any way, shape or form
