I play for two different chess games on this site, what if both teams play each other?  Whose side do I join?

Just play your best for both teams. If you think one team is more important than another, then side with the one you desire.

I dont think it will let you play in the match then.. and if it is possible to join, I would just pass on that one

Do you request to be on a chess team or they request you?

either is acceptable usually. most times the team admin will approach you. but if you see a group that fits you, your personality, there's a post on the right side of the group profile that says "join group". hit that button and most groups will let you in. if they do not, don't take it personal. the groups sometimes are looking for a certain type player or a quota for how many members or something going on that has nothing to do with you. happy hunting!

You will find you cannot play for either team when they play against each other.

You shouldn't play that game at all. That is a sign of betrayal to the team you play against.

The distinction between GROUPS and TEAMS is quite clear. A GROUP is a CLUB of MEMBERS. A subset of these members can dynamically form a SQUAD - from which a TEAM is selected for a specific Team Match (set of games). The Team is fixed before the Team Match starts.

With Vote Chess, by contrast, the composition of the team can change dynamically throughout the match.

If I love teams I would just have to sit that match out I have done this before
