Hello hello, I'm not sure if this is a genuine problem or not so bear with me,

I recently tried out the new analysis feature, received the message this morning saying it had finished, when I actually go to the game it says the opening used and how many moves were blunders etc, but the actual board is blank and I can't go through the moves or anything. I'm currently a gold member, so I wasn't sure if I needed to upgrade to get anything more, or if its an actual problem... Anyway, any info would be appreciated, thanks in advance :)

I got one through this morning too, but everything seemed to work fine for me.  Not sure that your membership has anything to do with it though, as that only governs the amount of games you can get analysed and the level of the analysis completed.

I got one also, and had the same effects as Puppaz did

Your membership level should not be causing this. I would recommend deleting all of the temporary internet files (sometimes called cache) that are stored by your browser. If you are unsure how to do this, here is a tutorial: http://support.chess.com/index.php?_m=troubleshooter&_a=steps&troubleshootercatid=1&parentid=0 .

Tried deleting all temp files, and restarting IE, but it didn't fix it. However, I did try using google chrome instead and it came up fine without a problem, so it does seem its a problem on my end. If I figure it out I'll post more.

Interestingly enough for me Firefox 3 didn't work which was a surprise. Only IE7 did.

I'm using IE7 and I have the same problem.  Nothing on the board.  Unable to go thru the moves.  Don't know which moves were the "blunders" (even tho it says I've got a lot of them).  I've got Platinum Membership, so it's definitely not that.  Looking forward to using this feature once I'm able to.

To Firefox users: please refresh (ctrl-F5). The problem should be fixed now.

Talfan I have had problems getting pieces to show in the past in firefox.  A while ago the game explorer and 'insert diagram' window suddenly decided that I had to allow scripts from googleapis.com.  No idea why I have to do this, and it's a bit of a pain because I prefer to only give them temporary permission.  Perhaps this could be your problem with the analysis feature.  Not sure what it could be with Ie7, except perhaps some Ie related script blocking problem, or some other security/privacy related issue.

I just tried it using Firefox and I can see everything using that browser, but not with IE7.  This sounds like the exact opposite of TalFans experience.  Undecided

Awesome feature!!  Don't worry Erik, you never know what bugs you're going to find until you throw it out there for everyone to try.  I've seen 1st hand how quickly you fix things once they're brought to your attention, and I have no doubts that this will all be resolved soon.

    You guys ROCK!!!

I tried the Ctrl-f5 with IE7 and it still says "Error on page."

I just tried with Firefox, and it worked great.  Unfortunately the computer didn't think my strategies were brilliant, but that I got lucky because my opponent blundered badly.  Now I have to either upgrade my membership or wait until next week.  Fantastic feature.

I've missed this - where is the analysis feature?  How do we use it?

By the way, great feature Erik.

It doesn't say.  It's the status bar at the bottom that usually says "Done" when a page has loaded.  When I try to view the analysis in IE7, instead of "Done" it says "Error on Page" and it has a little yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it.  Sometimes it will say "Done," but it still has the yellow ! triangle next to it.

I can see the opening, and the number of mistakes, but both boxes under "Score:" are empty and so is the chess board.

I've tried it on 2 seperate computers with identical results.

Info: Ian  Puppaz    I believe I have the answer to your difficulty and it lies in the site theme you are using. I know if you change from the black background to something else voila your problem will be solved !!
