If I am in "stay on this game" mode and I enter conditional moves, the game does not update when the conditional moves are played.

I stayed for a bit. I was surfing other chess.com pages in another tab and saw alerts for the game. But when I went back it hadn't played the moves yet. I had to refresh the page. Not a huge deal, but not what I expected.

It should only actually update the game once it is your move in the game.  We can possibly look into changing this behavior, but its not an easy fix.

I prefer it the way it is right now because I only want to be notified if/when I need to take action.  That said, is there a way to disable non-actionable conditional alerts that appear in the Alerts window?

can your opponent see your conditional moves, before he moves?  or is it just an automatic play, that he doesn't know is coming until he plays?

thanks.

Your opponent does not know what your conditional moves are, or whether you even have them set.

…at least until you move and the message box says it's your turn again due to a conditional move. lol

My statement is correct as it is written in the present tense. If one of your conditional moves is played, your opponent only knows that you had a conditional move set. They never know the current state of your conditionals.

Agreed. I was sharing knowledge with others who may have not experienced conditional moves set by their opponent. Some novice players/new users may have not seen the conditional moves in action, so it seemed reasonable to dispel the mystique around the conditional moves. :D
