so, i just played against a friend of mine twice--both times as white. i won both games, so at the start of the third game, i suggested that we should switch. he promptly resigned and we began some new games.

the game he resigned was "abandoned too early to affect [our] ratings," so i was wondering if we could just delete that game altogether? it seems unfair for rik (my friend) to have that extra "loss" in his profile, when really he didn't lose.

is there a way to delete the game?

thank you so much!

Currently you only have control over what games appear in your own archive. Deleting a game from your archive does NOT delete it from the chess.com game database however. Not quite sure on the best way to handle this yet, since sometimes you may want to remove the game from your archive, but your opponent may not want to delete the game from his archive. We are still trying to figure out how we archive games, delete them, etc. So at the moment, no, you can't remove the game entirely from the archive, but you can remove it from your own archive.

At the bottom, you'll see recent games, you can check the box and click delete....or you can view your game archive, and do the same there. Check the box and click delete. Let me know if that doesnt work for you.

Ok...it should be there now!  Thanks for pointing that out. I hate when I build a feature and it never gets used cause the button is simply missing!

That reminds me of a Wonder Years episode...."and let me remind you, any students who choose to participate in this walk out, it will go on your PERMANENT RECORD, YOUR PERMANENT RECORD."
