If you currently have a diamond membership but need to cancel it for financial reasons, what happens to the groups you manage? Will your superadmin status be removed? Or will you retain the same postions in the groups you had prior to your diamond membership being cancelled?
Thank you.

I suspect your super-adminship will be revoked, and the group(s) may end up without a super admin. Better if you could promote a new super admin before you downgrade your membership all the way to basic.
As an alternative: the cheapest level of premium membership {Gold} costs £3/month or £19/year - around one third of the cost of diamond membership. This would allow you to continue to manage your groups.
That is a good idea. Thank you.
Dark--Horse
Wrong. The basic member stays as a super admin. See this group for example.

Timotheous,
If you want to know for sure, ask Kohai. She can tell better tell you than any of us. The example above is bad as both players have left the site and have been gone since July and August. I have no idea if the SA listed was a paying member when he first started or took over the group. But my undersatnding is that no free member can be a SA for any group. They just to get to play a restricted amount of games, and, be in one tournament at a time.
You can also send a message to the help and support an ask them as well. Better that you get the info from Chess.com than from us. That way it will be totally correct and you will have the answer from the company. Hope this helps..

i am marcked as being a diamond member, but i never paid for anything. chess.com does not have any card info on hand that I gave. how did I become a diamond member with no payment or me even asking?
Good question. Did you refer people to the site? Maybe it some some sort of award. Maybe someone else paid on your behalf anonymously.

pitt7fan, it appears you were randomly selected for the free trial Diamond membership
