elo settings doesn't work

Sort:
rrapido

I dont want to play with people with elo inferior to mine. I configure my settings with "min rating = -50". This settings doesn't work. So, I manually abort the plays that don't fit my requierements. Now, the site chess.com penalize me because too much aborts. They don't allow me to abort games. What can I do? There is a solution or may I move to another site?

Not sure what settings you're talking about.  Suggest you read this:

and this

Obviously we can't all play folks who are better than us. I'm not good at math, but even I can see how that doesn't work. Wink

If you insist on setting the parameters manually, you have to choose Custom from the drop down time menu.  A Rating Options button pops up.  Hope this helps.

I agree I can't get the settings to work and I do not like being punished for playing people who I do not want to play. In the fair play policy it tells you to set the levels of the the people who you will play. It does not work.

Follow the links.  You're right, it doesn't work because they discontinued using it many months ago.  You either just click or go for a custom game.
