Message to the Chess.com Support Team.
Allthough not a chess.com problem, it might be of interest to many others. I'm a member of chess.com since early January 2009 and switched to Firefox (3.05), as it's supposed to better support chess.com than Explorer. Firefox worked fine until today, when I cannot enter chess.com via Firefox. It seems that I'm beeing directed to https://www.chess.com instead of http://etc. I have removed Firefox and reinstalled it again, but the same thing happens each time I try to enter with my username and password. I have no problems entering the site via Explorer, but would like the Firefox to work as it used to and as it should do.
Can anyone help me please

I switched from Firefox to Google Chrome. I've had occasional problems with it as well, but better than explorer that's for sure.

i'll look into this more. from which page are you logging in?

On Google Chrome, I cant log in on the home page but have to go to the seperate log-in page. Is this a problem for anyone else?

I have had literally zero problems with Google Chrome since the switch. I highly recommend it.

I've experienced the same problem -- particularly when using the login box on the main page. It just refreshes the main page and doesn't log me in. Not consistently, but often enough to be annoying. If I keep at it it eventually lets me in.
this is troubling. TheGrobe - which browser? try clearing your cookies and try again?
AnyOne
I used to use Firefox but it starts to give me problems recently .. Now I recommend Safari because it didn't gave me one single problem yet !!

Yes,i too am facing the similar problem from yesterday only!!!
After logging in,i am directed to some other page than the HOME page, where there is a list of articles etc.is given, along with a" log in " option AGAIN !
Firefox 3.0.5. I haven't seen it in a while, but I've definitely experienced the issue before. When it happens to me again I'll try clearing the cookies to see if it immediately resolves it and let you know.
Thanks for the replies, and to you Erik..., I'm logging in via Firefox. I believe that the problem is solved for now:
When trying to log on to my gmail from Firefox, it gave a warning about cookies (I dont remember the exact wording). I enabled the cookies in the Privacy department under tools, and vupti..., then I could log-on to chess.com again without being redirected to the https:// site. This may help others that experience the same problem.
Thanks again,
