Well, I would hardly expect anyone else to pay up. I'm pretty sure the rest of the community isn't particularly interested in whether you get a membership or not. It would cost them the same as it would cost you, so why not try paying for one yourself? The economic crisis affects the whole planet, not just one or two countries.

Try getting a few odd jobs to make some money to pay for your membership here. Thats what I used to do when your age and other kids I knew did the same.

You're happy to let other people pay for you but you can't actually be bothered to work for the money? Boy, you sure are putting yourself in a good light from my two-dimensional internet viewpoint of you.

Play without a membership for now. As you improve, hustle other players for money. Bet them $5 a game, whatever you can afford to lose. That's what the guys in Washington Square Park do.

if the kid really is 13 (or whatever) i don't blame him for asking.  i also don't blame us for not being willing to step up and pay for him.  maybe if i knew him in person i'd do it--if he was a nice kid.

I gather from this statement that you dont know what "odd jobs" are ?  Ever washed a car? Cut anyone's grass/lawn ? These are great examples of "odd jobs" and if you arent willing to do even that then you must not want a membership very bad.

I like that Diabeditor i like his plan but no can do where i live there is non-chess

comunity nobody is a chess player so haven"t got anybody to bet with.

if you look under my nick you can see my country and there are about 5-10 chess clubs and not close where i live like 100 km is the nearest one. And no coaches as well.
