Hello!

I wanted to add a friend into my friends list, but whenever I sent a freind request, I got this message instead:

"Oops?! We noticed the following errors in your form:
You can only have 20 pending friend requests at a time! Make sure you provide enough info in your friend request for them to know who you are."

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of all my other pending friend requests?

i was going to help you, but then I realised that you are probably one of those annoying people htat just adds everyone.

@Rainbow: Umm, I admit I used to be that kind of guy, but not anymore. I have some RL friends I wanted to add for real.

@Chess Boy: Thanks for the help. I don't necessarily remember because it was so long ago since I added someone (September, maybe October of 2009) and so many games had transpired since then. It would be nice if this site had a panel that displayed all my pending requests.

MY HOME -> Friends.

Under My friend requests, there are separate lists: To Me & From Me.

The ones to you, you can accept or decline. The ones from you, you can cancel.

Thanks SO much! I had so many alerts that those options were pushed down to the very bottom of the page. Case closed.

i checked it out with other players they have same problem

any way we have no indication  when  a name is added bye the way  i did erase some names 1 hour ago and now i returned looks like there are some-more added

ok ok you will say we need to read all the rules and posts talking about every thing on this site sorry about that  me and all 20 friends i have been wasting time playing instead of reading all the rules more i got the accept or decline in messages had no idea it appears elseware if u know please help all of us simple players

I have a problem, ive invited like 100 friends randomly on live chess like last year, and so i cant be bothered to spend 1 hour deleting them all. I'm screwed arnt I?

Two clicks to cancel each request: seems a small price to pay for loss of friendship.

What if you simply delete friend requests without accepting or declining?  I have a list of people whose requests are in delete-limbo but buried somewhere in my account.

Does being in limbo take up one of their 20 pending friend requests?

chess.com itself implodes after 1,024 Friend Requests have been deleted without acceptance or declination (probably).
