Game aborting

    Greetings!

Can somebody please explain to me why is it possible to abort game after the first move has already been played?

I'm pretty sure purpose behind this feature is nothing but goodwilling, but some players abuse this. For example - some players will always abort whenever their opponent doesn't play e4-e5. In over the board chess you don't get this luxury and have to deal with whatever opening your opponent throws at you and since I really love playing Reti (1.Nf3) which prevents black from immediately playing 1...e5, I'm seeing this abusing  a lot. It's a bit disturbing.

    Thanks.

Always aborting isn't an option. They won't be able to play for some time if they abort again and again due to Fair Play Policy.

Ah I see, thanks for feedback.

I'm still wondering what's the reason to have an "abort" option at all tho.

Even worse are the players that abort whenever they get black pieces. I've had times where the only random games I've played have been black because the random opponent would abort whenever he got black. It's annoying and a cop out by the other player who does this.

Apologies for ressurection of a necro-thread, but I'm still wondering why is it possible to abort the game after first moves have already been played. Thanks.

I don't understand why I'm being flagged for aborting games when my opponents are aborting them after the first move.
