Hi,

This has happened to me on several occasions. This is an example in my game. Can this problem be sorted out please? As soon as I hold down or click on my rook in a lot of games, it just randomly moves towards the corner of the board. Then it accepts that as my move.

Did this problem occur in the Live Chess or Online Chess?

Well, you could check your settings and make sure that you have to click the "Submit" button instead of having Touch move turned on.  That way if it does it, you can simply cancel the move and try again.
