Hi. I've made this group called Free Chess and I'm the super admin. I want to delete it now but I can't. Anyone have any ideas on how to delete it?

Unfortunately its not possible. You have a current vote chess game going in that group.

Thats because its not possible to delete groups where games are still in progress or have been played.

That post contained patzer24's reply: "Yes, I can delete a group for you. Please send me a message with the name of the group that you created that you want removed and I will be happy to do so for you." which I thought might be useful as a general answer to point people to. Obviously not.

Not any more no, as we can't delete all groups now.

How do you withdraw from a group?

Go into the group itself, then on group homepage, right side of the page, click where it says "Quit Group"

Do I have to delete the vote chess then?

no, the game is registered to the group

Can I do it when the game and Vote Chess end then?

I believe that would interefere with the other group's game history.  Thus once a group has played in a team match or vote game, they can not be deleted (that's the way I interpreted it anyway).  So the only way to delete a group is if it NEVER played ANY team matches or vote games.
