I entered a low rated tuny 1100 and below and I'm have to compete with a guy with a 1435 rating why is that .. I entered the low rated for a reason I'm 1000 - 1197 player. Any feedback would be great!

Who is your tournament director?  Let him/her know this isn't right!

I think the rating is logged at the time of sign up.  If the player was >1100 when he/she joined, which can be weeks in advance of the start up, they are ok.  The system blocks players out of the rating range on the "join this tourny" page.  There rating may be higher when it starts.

If you beat them there rating will go back down ;)

Nope he has not been under 1300 .. he started the turny is why he is in it.. It's just wrong... and weak start a low-rated turny so you can win ?

actually I have noticed that barring ratings doesn't always work, I once did a tournament for the under 1500, and someone rated 1700 joined. I have no idea how, so I removed him and took it off auto-start so I could start it with every player under 1500, it's not very good it seams, I also still have no idea how he joined.
