i know i can select all and then delete 25 of them at a time. But I have like 1600 unread messages. How can I delete all of them? or maybe set it to view more messages on the screen so i can delete more at a time?

Although not the answer to the question you asked, the real problem appears to be that you accept messages. You can set stricter privacy settings here.
