That's a little much just for a delete button. That is more like the price for a CAPS LOCK BUTTON. I COULD USE ONE OF THOSE. MINE SEEMS TO BE BROKEN AND I CAN'T TURN IT Off.

There are 3 solutions for you, but you have to perform a test to see which one to use:

TEST 1:

1) Set the boot-up for the Caps button to be in the OFF position (this is in the Windows set-up file).

* If it works but then sticks again while you are using it then do this:

 - Drop all power to the computer after a normal sutdown.

 - Pop the key off the keyboard

 - clean out any dirt or debris and then (without replacing the CAPS KEY) turn the computer back on and see if it will work by pressing the key with your fingers? If it does then turn off the computer and replace the CAPS KEY.

TEST 2:

With all power turned off to the computer (if you have a laptop you have to be very careful because you have to either remove the battery which will screw up all your CMOS settings, or try to work around it).

In either case, the keyboard must come apart. To do this for a laptop you have to be very careful because of the battery power. To do this for a desktop you turn the computer Off and unplug the keyboard.

After pulling out the screws in the keyboard very gently separate the top and bottom sections. Look at the wires connected bellow and wiggle them to make sure all are connected firmly.

 - Is there anything which appears out of place?

 - Smell the keyboard. If something smells burnt then replace the keyboard. (If you have a laptop then you have to write down the serial number of your computer, find the brand name, and order a new keyboard via Internet).

OPTION 3:

If it is a desktop computer buy a new keyboard (costs less than $20).

If it is a laptop take it into the shop and they will charge you somewheres between $50-90 to replace it).

Good luck!
