Live Chess Play Restricted due to Repeated Connection Problems and Lag ...

Hi Chess.com,

The Fair Play Policy Message came up Repeatedly after continuous Connection Interrupted Problems before I could even start the game that has been accepted,in Live Chess.

The Games all got aborted due to this lag.

I did not abort or disconnect.

Can you Please reset it ASAP ?

I can't imagine that you struggled with lag on each and every game.

Has something changed in your connection?

The truth is I have very bad lag in every game .

My time just runs down n' disappears by itself n' I lose lots of Won Gmes due to lag but I don't mind 'coz I juz like to play anyways .

Many of my games end Abruptly when my time runs out by itself n' I can't finish them .,many interesting ones n' mate-in-1's or mate-in 2's,etc .

If I restart my Computer,the lag is not so bad immediately after.

Though on some days,when the lag is not that bad , I can finish my games.

Now it says that " my Opponent Won because I resigned " even before the game started coz it was auto aborted the moment it got accepted . ( with points being deducted each time )

Guess the System is Confused by the Lag .. lol

I have to say that more players has the same/similar problem. I have problems with lag from 2011 (maybe). It is sometimes better sometimes worse but i always feel there is problem with reaction time.

By the way, Nakamura said that he can give mate with queen and king in 1.6 second in interview on chess.com. Impossible with my lag. He could do maximum 5 or less moves (sometimes maybe only 1 or 2 moves) when premoves are allowed.

Well, most people in the US don't have the same lag problems as the OP, who says she is posting from Shanghai, China. I haven't had a problem with lag in quite a long time.

I have it bad here in Ireland.I can watch videos on line write emails with no interuptions but when it comes to live chess as soon as I get a game I can expect "connection intrupted "prompt .With several breaks in a 15 min game. I have lost many games to it. I paid an annual sub. thinking it was that but NO it is as bad as ever.

Well how do you connect? Cable? Neighbor's wifi?

I´m having the same problems I don´t know why, I used to be able to play regularly and then I had some problems with the internet and changed my modem to a new one, even tough I don´t have any problems dowloading stuff and watching videos, this page keeps reconnecting and my lag is always bad, in all the computers in the office, any idea what could be the problem? I tried from a wifi on my laptop and ethernet on the PC, same results...

My connection is by high speed cable.I have searched everywhere on line for a solution to no avail. From reading lots of blogs I have come to the conclusion its a server problem with some countries.There is no help from Chess.com! and yes I paid my annual subscription.

Does anyone know of another chess site without this problem?
