In Opera, the game window half disappears off the top of the screen when you finish a game, and half disappears off the bottom when you start one. Just thought I'd let you know.

Thanks, Tony. Currently, we are not really supporting Opera (Firefox is recommended). We are going to use some another window solutions soon, maybe it will help.

I don't have any problems playing online chess with firefox, but the program crashes anytime I try to play with the "chess against the computer" option offered by chess.com

I have to launch Internet explorer if I want to use that feature...

Did other people experience the same problem ? 

Is still beta version?

not even beta yet really - still alpha :)

"Chess against the computer" requires Java Runtime Environment installed on computer. If it crashes for you please re-install your JRE.
