Login Problem in Firefox

Almost every time I login to the site, I have to put my login name and password in twice.  This is the only site I have this problem.  I also don't get the option for Firefox to remember my login and password like I do for every other site I login to.

This is pretty annoying, but it is otherwise a great site.  I am currently using Firefox 2 and Windows XP with the latest updates.

     Thanks for your time.

I have the same ´problem´  but, now I dont use the LOGOUT button, im always "active"

ihave the same software as you and with the same situation,

maybe is due the way this site logs you, some hidden php script, or something like that,

Since you're using XP (updated), why not just use IE?  I don't have that problem; I'm  also using Firefox.  Examine the Preferences: allow the use of Java[script]; I don't recommend the use of the password autofill feature, unless it's not a public computer (other users may login to all the sites that you go to).

there is a "remember me" thing you know..

why is this site so full of n00bs?

everytime i go to live chess, some n00b asks "how do i move" or "how can i start a game"

Judgeofthenight seems an appropriate username for you.  I did search the user forums for login issues before posting.  I also searched on "remember me" in the support and FACs and got nothing.  There is no "Remember Me" box on my login page, the standard place to put such a feature; there is only a "Keep Me Logged In" feature which I don't use because I want to log out or be logged out at inactive times.

I have an extention to run IE Windows within Firefox and I may try that.  IE isn't as secure and has it's own issues, though, so I'm not a big fan.  Java is enabled, and this is my home computer on a password protected login so autofill doesn't scare me.

I mainly posted because the feature is annoying me, and therefore probably others; the staff of this site generally appreciate users pointing out problems so that they can improve the site in ways the members like.

I'm sure the Staff is monitoring this post.  I'm a Linux user and your comment about the security issues in IE are accurate (they take a long time to issue patches) but they are lessened by keeping your PC updated.  Firefox has other issues too, in addition to your problem.  I hope it gets resolved..
