I won't be cancelling my membership but probably will not renew.  Restrictions on tournament entry does not allow me to play.

You have to play five non-tournament rated games to be eligible for most tournaments. If you wish to bypass this restriction, create your own tournament. In advanced settings change the default minimum five games to zero.

As a premium member you can join any official tournament as the minimum games for premium is zero. For example  http://www.chess.com/tournament/6th-chesscom-quick-knockouts-1001-1200

10 games at a time is more than I can invest time to.  It is moot anyway because the tournament has restrictions, 10% win ratio.

Premium only tournaments are virtualy non-existant. About 1/2 have very few, if any, players signed up.

Come on, it sounds like you only need to find one tournament without this restriction and then you should complete 5 games in that tournament and problem solved.  You can even create your own tournament if none is available.

eainca, I'll start a tournament and invite you. Tournaments can have all kinds of parameters.  I prefer to not have too many games going at a time either (although I've allowed this to creep up from between 5 and 10 games to 10 to 15 as I became more used to the format).  So, this will have only a few players and only one game per player at a time. I hope you'll join!  pdmura

Okay, you are invited to play in this tournament.

You will need to click on the JOIN TOURNAMENT button and then we need others to join too.  It should not take long.
