I was under the impression that it was not permitted for one person to have more than one account.

     Am I wrong ?.

I ask the question because I now have two games in progress with two login names who seem to be one and the same person.

In one of the games we have repeated the same moves several times but no draw ?

I'd like to ask site designers and players a question.

Do you believe it is OK to have more than one account if you are not doing it to cheat and boost your games by resigning?

It might be useful to have two accounts for the following reason. On one account the member could try and play his very best games and give longer consideration to moves to see how high he could move in the rankings. The other could be used for more general relaxed play, more like pub chess... moves taken quickly , and if it was a poor move that led to disaster it would not reflect on the rating attained on the other account.

I'm not much of a player, but I still get wound up about trying to do well, and have restricted the number of games I take so as not to throw a game away when I'm busy and not able to look properly at a dozen games in quick succession...

Sliptong, there is an easy way to do this, and you don't even need two accounts!  When you select "New Game", choose "Rated" for your serious games and "Unrated" for your Just For Fun games. I often play unrated games when I'm tired.

I guess you can't track down a person with more than one account and there is no need to have more than one account. If I were you, I'd just ignore it.
