Need some help - can't get the diagrams to work

Don't know if anyone can help, but...

When I open an on line game or a vote chess game, the game position is either blank, or it is the original position. Can't see the actual position or enter moves.

I am running Vista and using Mozilla Firefox.

I noticed the problem after I tried unsuccessfully to install Pro Tools LE.

Since then I have tried reinstalling Java Flash, to no avail.

I tried the Restore feature but Vista says it isn't possible.

I would highly appreciate any suggestions from computer savvy people out there.

I don't think I use it - at least I have not downloaded it.

PS the same problem I described above happens if I use IE as the browser.
