Is chain mail allowed on this site?

I've already got a few of these messages:

Original Message by rich on 7/9/2008 @ 4:55am:

Send this message to all the ones you care about!! And when You get this message be sure to send it back!

(if you get one message back your a bad friend, if you get 3 back your an okay friend, if your get 5 back your a good friend, if you get 10 back your a great friend, and if you get 20+ back then your a REALLY AWSOME friend!!)

I hope chain mail would not be allowed.  It's just like email spam: very annoying and it will push some people away from chess.com

i sent a message to rich and erik.

rich started the chain mail but erik has not gotten back with me. (i hope he does)

It's getting kindof annoying because this is what they have on myspace and youtube like that and i believe chain mail is spamming

The best way to report stuff like this is to use the "Report Abuse" link on the bottom of every page.

There's nothing wrong with chain mail in my opinion. As far as I'm concerned it's not too different from using plate aromor. Could be a bit heavy though.

I hope I didn't misunderstand something now...

Ok, so this is what erik told me in his message reply after i asked him if chain mail was allowed:

1st reply:

"i think it's crap and i don't like it :)"

2nd reply:

"if you don't know the person, then it is spam. if you spam, your account is in jeapordy."

So you can pretty much draw a conclusion from these quotes. :)

Comment and tell us ur opinion Smile

Chain mail, IMHO, is most irritating and has no place on the chess.com web site. I, for one, would welcome the complete absence of it.

Sakura started it off at the very begining, and then I brought it back into play.
