no pieces show up when i create a game

no pieces show up when i create a game, only blinking squares in the middle of the board. suggestions

reload? if that doesnt work then idk.

You're still using Internet Explorer? 

Definitely switch to Chrome, which Blackenne provided a link for. Also make sure you have your Java up to date: https://java.com/en/download/

You should also clear your computer's cache of cookies. Google it if you aren't sure how to do that - It'll offer sites with step by step instructions. Once you do it the first time, it's easy to remember. But again, get away from Internet Explorer. Chrome is, in my opinion, a much better browser with less conflicts. I've heard IE is being phased out by Microsoft anyway, if that is any indication to its reliability.
