    Obviously staff isn't "only here to take your money."

    Read the coach FAQ, http://www.chess.com/coach_/faq.html

    and you'll see that the payments are transferred to the coaches' accounts once a month, that's why you haven't still recieved your payment:

    Once each month, we will remit your students’ payment amounts (less 5%) directly to your PayPal account. Coaches may expect payment on or before the 15th of each month, based on all student payments taken in the previous calendar month.

    Bingo! While staff does try to read these, the best way to be sure you get an answer about something like this is to submit a ticket.

     dont forget these guys get a lot of money comin in so i don't see why staff pays so little to coaches
