for no obvious reason my online rating dropped 50 points..

Send a message to an admin, surly something is wrong! You can't go down if you havent finnishd a game.

have  you possibly lost some games on time without realising it?

Look at his past games, and his current rating it's a 50 point drop and no game's lost, realy strange...

i'll wait and see what happends when i finish the next game, and then contact an admin.

but yes..very strange.
