I was just wondering what this error signifies

Oops?! Invalid server request!

It usually happens when I receive a message about team matches, the moment I click the join the match button, a page with the above error would appear. Whenever I'd refresh it, the same page appears.

Could it be because the match was cancelled? Wouldn't it be better if the error page would indicate that instead of the said error?
