I was on the site and the window closed and a message popped up with "your computer may be infected" and an OK button. I think it's an ad for a virus scanner (with a typical message saying your computer is infected), but asks you to download a file so is probably isn't. I just closed the pop up without clicking OK and new page appeared that asked if I wanted to download a file. I closed that window as well.

I don't really download files ever, so I think it might be an ad from this site.

The ads here do tend to sometimes cause the computer to come to a crawl if I have too many windows open.

I don't think this site really cares what ads it puts up, just as long as it gets some (considering the sheer number of them).

This was the only site I was on when it happened. I looked for info on it and I think it downloads a virus on your computer if you click on it. I scanned my computer afterward and found nothing so I don't know if it's associated with this site or not.

It's some stupid virus\trojan. chess.com you should do something about this!
