Is there anyway to block this person's account?

http://www.chess.com/echess/profile/ANIKO

With 2700+ games on the go and still seeking more, something isn't right. When looking for open seeks, I'd like to see a different name than ANIKO on there.

Nytik

ANIKO isn't that bothersome when looking for open seeks. Just ignore the ones she puts up, and choose someone elses.

Besides, while ANIKO has over 2700 games, she has only timed out on 8% of her games. People are entirely within their right to play as many games as they wish!

J_Piper

I think she has got a relay going.  She submits for a few hours... then someone else logs in.  Makes sense to me.

That's fair enough, but just think about it for a second, 2700+ games... Nobody can keep a track of that many games, they'd never get round them all.

I smell a rat.

There is no evidence that anything untoward is going on and no reason to accuse anyone of anything in the forums. If you have suspicions, send them directly to chess.com... here.

Even with a time per move of over 13hrs, you don't think there's anything odd?

J_Piper

Nytik, when I say "I think," it concedes the fact that I am not sure.  I'm not going into conspiricies or trying to doom the girl... It's a comment.  She must have fun doing it so good for her.  Don't put a finger to me.

ozzie_c_cobblepot

I do not think anything's odd. It's like one gigantic simul, right?

Perhaps the only person qualified to assess whether it is odd is AWARDCHESS. What's his opinion?

J_Piper

Your right... nothing is odd whatsoever.  A minute per move average gives her 60 moves in an hour.  Let's say she plays for an astonishing 15 hours a day with chess and gets in 900 moves.  She only has to set that pace for 3 straight days to get 2700 moves in......

And since most of the games are 3 days per move, this makes perfect sense! Congratulations! (Not sure if you were being sarcastic, but IMO it shows that it's all fine.)

eddiewsox

How about a "cage match" between ANIKO and AWARDCHESS, 1000 games head -to-head!

zetainspira

whats the problem, she wants to improve

A minute per move "screen time" is way too high. I started with 15 seconds between submissions and went down from there. I think one could get by with 10-15 seconds, but it still is a LOT of time per day here. Every day. Let's see how much...

12 seconds per board (5/min) (300/hr)

I'm guessing 1 hour in the morning, 1 hour in the evening, every single day, might not keep up with the load. Plus, the user has a pretty respectable 14 hours per move, which indicates to me they spend a bit more time here than required to not flag.

I predict a LB-style crash and burn multi-flag-fest.

UrWorstKnightMare

8% timeouts and 13 hours a move are incredible stats to me considering she has 2800 games going on at once. It's just mind boggling to me that she can play all those at once. I'm guessing she does not put much thought into her moves because I saw she has been scholar mated several times. But it is just incredible.

Why would you block her account?

I don't mean block it completely, just stop them from accepting anymore games.

Just checked, it's now nearly 2900 and they're still seeking for more.....

CoconutTiger

its simple.

SHE IS AN "CHESSAHOLIC".

So what? I dont get your point? She can have 10.000 if she want, why would you want to stop her?

theshrike

Just leave the girl alone and stick to your games mate. If a user is not happy playing with someone who has near 3000 games, then he/she can quit before move 5 and that's about it.

Mikk

I guess that she hits 24/7 "submit" button xD.
