I've noticed that since I've been a premium member, on the homepage there is a huge white space where, I'm assuming, an advertisement goes. So in order to see the Daily Puzzle or the chart of members online etc., I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. Can the staff help me out with this please?

Try pressing CTRL + R. That should fix the issue.
