What are the points that are given. I have 2 and I have no idea why. Undecided

You get points for various activities - the purpose of the points is to indicate how "active" a member is in the community affairs here. You get points for posting to message boards, or posting to you blog, for adding photos (I think), for writing articles, for adding info to Chessopedia, etc. (but not for winning a game, I don't think)

 

The one problem is, someone may write a detailed article involving hours and hours of work  and post it in the Article section, while another person may respond to a postings with the words, "nice game," and both individuals will receive the same number of points.  So, as an indicator of Activity Level, the point system leaves a lot to be desired - in my opinion, for what that's worth.
