Whenever someone posts a game or a tactical problem to figure out on the forum I can never see it.  It's just a red circle that is obviously showing me that something should be loading up, nothing ever does though.  Do I have to adjust my cookies or dL a program to see it?

 -Edit-

Fixed!  So, here is the thing, I am running IE with windows defender and my security is set to medium.  Nothing out of the ordinary.  I ended up having to go in and manually add chess.com as a "trusted site" in order to see the java script chess problems.  So if you have the same problem that I did with the red loading circle never loading anything up here is what you do: Open IE (internet explorer), select Tools, Internet Options, Security (tab), Sites (button), and then manually type in the address of the site (http://www.chess.com).

Yeah I know Chess.com does work properly with Internet Explorer on XP (but I use Firefox myself).. javascript being disabled sounds like the only thing that could cause that, because this site does use a lot of javascript.

If you haven't tried firefox in awhile (or have never tried it) I REALLY recommend downloading and using it.  It's sooo nice now (as usual blow IE out of the water).  I didn't really like as much last version, but this latest update has made me a firefox fan for life (and Chess.com runs perfectly in it Laughing)

Yeah, my Java is running fine.  I even uninstalled and reinstalled with no help. :(  I used to run firefox but I get tired of running things and getting errors or it having problems with other programs.  I found that just running a skeleton software setup seems to keep my comp running faster.

Indemnity: Hrmm. I am really sorry to hear that. It is defintely a javascript issue. Are you able to see other chess diagrams/games on the site?

it has got to be some kind of firewall/antivirus application sitting in the RAM and filtering web content. I'd say try disabling your AV/firewall for just a minute and try to load www.chess.com.
