Reset Tactics Trainer?

Is there a way to reset the tactics trainer puzzles/ratings as if one had never done them?  I've only recently been taking the trainer seriously as a learning tool and I don't feel that the current rating and puzzle outcome is completely accurate.  Also,  I'm not sure if this has been brought up before but its really irritating to completely fail a puzzle because of one errant move (except for puzzles that only require a single move).  Instead it would be more intuitive to be penalized on the score by the percentage of moves that are required.  For instance... if a puzzle required 3 moves and you fail the second move, your score should be penalized by 33% so if you were currently at 85% due to the timer you would then have a score of 52%, the trainer would then update with the correct second move and you can proceed to complete the puzzle either by making the correct 3rd move or the incorrect 3rd move which would then cause a second reduction by 33% taking you down to a final score of 29%.  This allows you to at least gain partial credit for the moves which you did get right and takes away the "all or nothing" factor.

those are some ridiculously good numbers cuendillar. However the tactics problems dont allow me to do what you did. When I miss a move its stopped and I only get credit for seeing however many moves into it I did. I know because I did my three tactic trainer problems earlier today.

I'm not asking for the change Im merely saying that the all or nothing factor is there as far as I can tell. Thank you for the compliment. the puzzle I missed I was looking for a way to win material, not a way to defend haha.

we do award partial score for getting some of the moves correct. but that stops as soon as you make the first wrong move. if you want "partial" credit for moves that are not best, then you need to use www.chess.com/chessmentor instead.

we are working on a way to reset your tactics trainer rating.

It's a bummer to get the solution correct and lose points because I took too much longer than 'average time'.

that is the only way to have parity in the ratings. trust me - we've been through this discussion 100 times ;)

True, and I agree with the principle, but I think that a minimum of 20% is a bit low, even when the solution is correct. I would suggest a minimum of 30-40% if the solution is correct but out of time.

I'm not complaining.  You've got to have an algorightm(s) to work with, and I assume that it is adjusted here and there from time to time.  It's still a bummer to get it right and lost points:))  Just as bad (but not all bad:)) is that when I do the ones I get wrong a second time (for no points), I usually get them right.  That tick-tock will eat you alive.
