I seem to have a scareware bug, ...advice please...

'message from webpage' Warning your personal computer needs to install antivirus software. Personal security can peform fast and free scan of your computer.

Then moves on to a scan and gives scareware results.

Im guessing could be ad related as it doesnt occur during live chess.

Had same thing, accidently downloaded it even though I knew better (and my computer was compromised because I had part of some old antivirus program and an accidentally downloaded system called Fileguard on my computer).  Computer got infected, paid AT&T $99 to fix.  Now do anti-virus scans every 3 days, haven't had problem since.  And double check all sites b4 going on them--no more looking at sites for Vampire girls, goth chix etc.

99 dollars seems a bit steep, I wonder if freebie options available
