Ludde

The three digit security code should be on the back of the card to the right of the signature space.
Warning: If an unscrupulous person gets your debit card number they can clean out your bank account and you have no recourse. If they get your credit card number you are only liable for the first $50 of fraudulent purchases. I would never, never use a debit card for an online purchase. Too risky.
Yeah !! iknow using a debit card online with our using the security code is quite risky !!! can v use any other security code instead ?? But anonymous person can nly steal money if dey happen to steal my PIN ,how can dey possibly steal money with out knowing PIN
I don't think any of the other codes will work. If it asks for a code then they're probably treating it as a credit card. Most debit cards can be processed that way. They just don't have limits on liability that credit cards have.
I use my debit card without the PIN all the time. Most stores, gas stations, etc. process debit cards without the PIN. I only need the PIN to get cash from an ATM.
HEre in India v use PIN to evn pay in petrol bunks ,they hav a large phone like device where v swipe our card and it autamatically asks u de PIN and de total amount u wanna pay !!!DEn what am i supposed to enter in that security column tab !?? any ideas ??
We may have different types of cards. Mine can be used as either a debit card using the PIN or as a credit card without the PIN. When used as a credit card my limit is whatever is in my checking account. That's why I'm careful how I use my debit card. A crook could take all $3.57 in my checking account and leave me destitute.
If your card is for debit only you may not be able to use it for any purchase that needs the security code. You'll have to check with your bank.

Based on what a Maestro card is you most likely won't be able to use it to sign up for a Chess.com account. Standard debit and credit cards have a security code on the card; that is what the site is asking for.
As trigs said, you should contact site support at the link provided to verify and see if they can help. My guess is that they won't be able to accept that type of payment.
Yeah i think u r right !!! instead of debating this i better get to bank and ask more info abt this ,thank u
YEah ,thanks for ur reply !! i guess i became clear !
