Does anybody get painfully slow load times when playing turn-based chess?    Live chess works smoothly, as does analysis mode, but turn-based takes minutes to render on my screen! I'll figure out my move in analysis move LONG before I have a chance to submit it :(.  I have a vista, running on firefox, and a decent connnection...

try making sure you have the latest firefox, clearing your browser cache, making sure you don't have spyware or adware, and restarting your computer. finally, consider upgrading to a premium membership with no ads - ads sometimes slow things down.

It's definately the ads...   Since I got my membership, it's a lot faster!

vagamundo, did it take like like 10 minutes to load before premium? I've cleared my cache before and defintely restarted.  I'm checking for adware now... I really want to blame vista.

it used to take a long time before premium, yes; but also I upgraded my PC recently...  having said that, in my previous PC it sped up after I joined.

don't want to sound like I'm trying to convince you to join though...  (I'm not staff & I'm not getting anything out of it. But it's true that the ads slow you down...)

It turns out it was my firewall. When I turned it off the games load ALOT faster.  Good thing I didn't buy the premium membership, jk ;).
