As a user, is it possible for me to post surveys in the forums? If so, how?

Nope, it's not. But, if you have an idea for a survey topic for the homepage, you can sent it to me. :-)
It's probably a bad idea, but I thought it might be fun. I started a thread last week questioning in how many dimensions chess was played (my idea was 1.5!). The thread seemed to capture the imagination of the members, so I thought I'd get a definitive answer in survey form! Something like:
In how many dimensions is chess played:
1
1.5
2
3
4
5 or more
I think all of these answers were covered at one time or another in the thread! Probably a silly idea :)
