I don't like the way the tactics trainer limits how many problems you can do per day. Now, before you tell me to upgrade to premium, it isn't because I am only allowed to do 3 per day.

The problem is that if you do 3 tactics problems in the evening on Monday, on Tuesday you will have to wait until the evening to do tactics problems, and so on until you skip a day. It would be really convenient for me if I could do 3 problems a day, but instead of starting a timer when I do the problem that unlocks after waiting 24 hours, just resetting it every day at any arbitrary time. Like, I do 3 problems at 7 on Monday, then the next day I can do tactics problems any time during the day. Obviously, this doesn't allow anyone to do more tactics problems than before, but makes doing them more convenient.

You have a great suggestion. I think it does it that way because it's supposed to irk you and bug you so that you'll want to buy a premium membership. I used to hate it when I would do my 3 problems at like 4 P.M., then I'd have to wait till like 6 P.M. the next day, and then like 8 P.M. the next day. You'd start to lose days because no one has the time to sit down at exactly one time everyday to do the puzzles.

With that said, I'd like to give a nice shout out to Erik for NOT limiting the current premium members on how many tactical puzzles they can do. That would have been uber-lame. But as it is, it's sweet. And having a membership that gives you unlimited EVERYTHING for like $7.99/month is awesome :))

I have a suggestion Erik. You might want to consider giving basic premium members more access to Tactics trainer. If I was to buy membership I would buy the basic membership as I dont have a ton of money to spend atm, and the thing that prodded me the most to do so was the unlimited amount of problems I could do on tactics trainer with a basic membership. However now that benefit has gone to a higher level of membership and basic premium members will only be able to do 10 a day which is jusy 7 more per day than free. This change actually turned me off the idea of buying a basic membership, to a certaint extent.

Im not saying this in an attempt to convinve you to change it but rather to provide some feedback for the changes that have occured. You have made some other changes I really like.

This is what bugs me about the gold membership.

I was hoping there would be a weekly limit because I have more time on the weekends than during the week.

Ill probably just buy the platinum, but still, it is a nuesence for gold members.

I hate to say it like this but.... I extremely disagree with the limit on Tactics Trainer.  When I think about Chess.com I think of a one stop shop for chess online.  And because of this I believe that if you can find something free elsewhere on the internet then it should be free here as well.  I know Erik and all the staff have put in a bunch of work for the Tactics Trainer but when I wasn't a premium member I would constantly leave Chess.com to head over to another site. Their tactics trainer is faster and they have more problems.  I hated going there but it was my best option.

Basically from a business standpoint, we should all upgrade to premium memberships so more features on here can be free!

btw.. the computer trainer on here is awesome and to me is a lot better than the other tactics server I posted at the top.  I hope that stays free!!!
