The biggest glitch i have seen on chess.com
Well actually you can see the nature of it better if you go to this link.
http://www.chess.com/votechess/game?id=28868&mv=11&san=Be7
The position looks like something from the old board game "Stratego"
I'm impressed how come all my glitches are merely annoying and never fascinating like this one?
If you go to the link i think you can see it better it was a bit different there.
( What happened is a bishop flew across the board Jumping over pieces a pawn went 6 squares across the board and another pawn ran over a bishop ) http://www.chess.com/votechess/game?id=28868&mv=11&san=Be7
I know what's wrong :P
The moves in the diagram are 1...Qd2 2.h6 g5 3.Bg3
What they should be is 1.Qd2 h6 2.Bh4 g5 3.Bg3 ;)
Yeah, I've seen this illegal moves glitch before. Here, for example when someone tried to make a diagram of Fools' Mate:
You can make more extreme ones, like this:
Like it? ;)
A 7th grader with a 1900 USCF rating? Ouch!
How dare you look at my profile! jk :P
Anyway, you copy the pgn of a sequence diagram, and delete everything (except the FEN), like this:
[Date ""]
[Result ""]
[FEN ""]
1.
*
And then you just type in the moves :P
Also, if there are names and other things, just delete them too unless you want to have names, dates, tournament, etc. Remember, if you keep the FEN, you'll end up with the same starting position as the diagram you copied the pgn from. Leave the FEN blank and you'll get the initial position (i think).
Let's take the pgn of your diagram, and change it:
[Date "????.??.??"]
[Result "*"]
[FEN "r1bq1rk1/pppp1ppp/2n2n2/2b1p1B1/2B1P3/2NP1N2/PPP2PPP/R2QK2R w KQkq - 0 1"]
1...
*
Alright, and from that starting position (or you can choose a different fen string if you wish, which will lead to a different starting position), you can type in all the illegal moves you want.
