Time problems

    1) How come an opponent I am playing who is on vacation is losing games on time to other players, yet still has days left of vacation with me? (He is losing games which started after ours and have the same time limits)

    2) Can an opponent who lets time run out until he is put on automatic vacation, then clicks out of vacation and therefore gets another 24hrs to make a move, do so for ever?

    Thanks.

1.) The games they are losing on time are probably from "No Vacation Allowed" tournaments.

2.) No.  Every time they drop into vacation, even if only for a few minutes, they lose at least a full day of vacation time.  The most vacation time a person can have stockpiled is 90 days.  So while it may take a long time, eventually they will run out of vacation time.

Thanks. That makes me feel better. And here's the proof... Laughing
